About The Admit Letter Newsletter

The Admit Letter is an independent weekly newsletter for serious MBA applicants.

Every Tuesday, I publish one tactical piece on test prep, essays, school selection, or what’s actually happening in MBA admissions. The goal is to give applicants the kind of specific, useful advice they’d get from a smart friend in the field - not a sales funnel.

Who this is for

You’re a good fit if you’re:

  • Preparing for the GMAT or GRE and want frameworks that actually move scores

  • Applying to top MBA programs and want clear thinking on essays, school selection, and timing

  • Tired of generic “you’ve got this!” admissions advice and want specific, opinionated takes

  • Not sure whether the MBA is even worth it for your profile, and want an honest analysis

What you’ll get

One issue every Tuesday. Average length: 5-8 minute read. Each issue is built around one specific framework, breakdown, or take you can use this week.

Topics rotate across:

  • Test prep tactics (GMAT, GRE, test-optional)

  • Essay frameworks and teardowns

  • School selection strategy

  • Interview preparation

  • Money, loans, and ROI

  • Market intelligence - what’s actually happening in admissions

Who I am

I’m Sriram. I’ve scored in the 99th percentile on both the GMAT and the GRE, and over the last several years I’ve taught hundreds of MBA applicants - across India, the US, and beyond - how to actually move their scores and put together applications that work.

I’m not a consulting firm in disguise. The Admit Letter is a publication, and its job is to be the most useful thing in your inbox during your application journey.

A note on recommendations

I’ll occasionally recommend prep courses, consultants, loan providers, and other tools throughout this newsletter. Some of those links are affiliate links, meaning I earn a small commission if you sign up.

Two things you should know about that:

  1. I only recommend products I’d genuinely tell a friend to use.

  2. I’ll tell you when something in my own affiliate lineup isn’t right for you, or when a competitor product is the better choice for your specific situation.

That’s the deal. The trust is the asset, and I’m not going to torch it for a commission.
